History

4iD was created in 1990 by a group of military veteran R&D engineers, led by Mr. Joshua Altman. The group sought for services and application fields that can put to use a vast knowledge base of integrated military and aerospace system design and technology into commercial products.
The first years of operation were dedicated to design, production and turnkeys of integrated electronic systems aimed for the automotive market and the extreme environmental conditions market (high impact, extreme temperatures etc.). a Major segment of our operations was what we now fondly refer to as the "hopeless" projects - projects abandoned by other service providers as "non-feasible" or "physically impossible"

These Years had created 4id's two basic divisions: the "Tough engineering" design team and the production unit, aimed basically to provide in-house resources for production issues that we found to be creating bottlenecks when OEM'd (such as plastics mold-making and prototyping.)

Dr. Moshe Tshuva had joined the 4iD team in 1996, bringing along with him a new school of thought into our design system - namely the SIT method, and his vast comprehensive thermodynamical knowledge.

Contribution to the community is a part of 4iD's philosophy. in 1998 "4id-Special Education" was formed, headed by Mrs. Orna Altman. The Education and SE unit was primarily targeted at creating resources for the Special deduction and handicapped sector in Israel- our home.
This unit, nourished with lots of TLC and in-house resources, had become Israel's largest SE software and hardware company, and proved to be profitable unit -Sometimes, doing good can be profitable...!

The late 1990's and early 2000's had driven us into more communication and "sapient" systems design orientation. This market increased the demand for thermal design and analysis.
4iD had responded accordingly with the creation of the thermal imaging unit in 2003 and the formation of the Transcelio independent thermal solutions unit in 2006.

We look forward for a fascinating creative future...
